Cave Junction is the quintessential scenic small town situated about 30 miles southwest of Grants Pass and is considered by the locals as the Home of the Oregon Caves which are located a few miles east of the town. It serves as a hub for visitors from around the world who visit the unique geological marvels of Oregon Caves created by natural forces over hundreds of thousands of years ago. The surrounding area is picturesque with the towering Douglas fir and coniferous forest, valleys, sparkling lakes and three hiking trails access this marvellous forest for either hiking, biking, or horseback riding. It can also be the perfect base for undertaking further exploration of the region, including the small town of Kerby.

Set in a beautiful region is the metropolitan city of Medford located in the center of Oregon's lovely Rogue River Valley, where all sorts of fruit grow in abundance. Bordering northern California and the Klamath Basin is Klamath Falls, nestled on the southern shore of the Upper Klamath Lake situated on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains and boasting almost 300 days of sunshine a year. The lake is one of the largest body of fresh water in the state of Oregon and you will find white pelicans on nearby lakes and the Klamath River. Here you'll also find six national wildlife refuges and a Native American reservation. For admiring nature's beauty at its best, a visit to the nearby Crater Lake National Park and the Lava Beds National Monument is a must. On top of Mount Mazama Crater Lake is the only national park in Oregon, one of the deepest in the world and most breathtaking with its deep blue color. The eruption 7000 years ago of Mount Mazama left a deep layer of ash that is still visible today. Looking out over the lake you'll see Wizard Island, a large cinder cone rising 760 feet above the lake and a smaller island nearby called The Phantom Ship.
