Southern Living Review of Glen-Ella Springs Inn
October 2007
"I love dreamy inns. When the days cool down enough to open windows to the night, I want to return to my favorite rural retreat, Glen-Ella Springs Inn near Clarkesville, Georgia. The century-old lodge looks like a place depicted on a sepia postcard. A silvery pitched roof caps 16 guest rooms. Long porches with rocking chairs run down the front and back of the inn.
Cozy beds with quilted counterpanes and luxury linens invite relaxation. Each room includes a private bath and a phone (cell phones don?t always work here) but no TV.
Between breakfast and a gourmet dinner, I stroll through the garden where chrysanthemums look like fireworks. The sun stretches across the meadow on the inn?s 17 acres for another ideal day." Annette Thompson
