  • "The 10,000 square foot home, on three floors, proudly displays the original craftsmanship of extensive wood paneling, ceilings, columns and floors. Cut crystal chandeliers, Tiffany-style lamps, leaded and stained glass windows are but a part of the beautiful antique furnishings, which enhance the Castle. The period kitchen, formal parlor, tearoom, den, grand ballroom, and 5 beautifully restored bedrooms are sure to delight guests and visitors of all ages. Guest Steve Luper writes: ""Touched by style...Blessed with Grace, Hoquiam's Castle is a Magical place!...The breakfast here is by far the best..The perfect thing after a perfect rest!""
In the parlor enjoy music and quiet relaxation. Visit the Den for TV/VCR, board games, books, beverages, desserts and sherry served in the afternoon/evening. Enjoy beautiful views of the harbor and town below from the Turret, Porch and Garden.
Breakfast is served from 8:00 - 9:00 am. Your breakfast includes coffee/tea and juices, fresh fruit, granola and yogurt, and ""chef's choice"" gourmet hot entree such as our ""Heavenly French Toast"", an Herb de Provence souffle, or spiced pumpkin pancakes. Complimentary beverages and snacks are available each afternoon and evening."

  • "Welcome to Hoquiam (Ho-qwe-um). Hoquiam, meaning ""hungry for wood"", sits on magnificent Grays Harbor and straddles the Hoquiam River. Hoquiam's strategic location between the natural beauty of the Washington coast and the impressive Olympic Peninsula makes Hoquiam's Castle a model base camp from which to explore. You will find plenty to see and do in Hoquiam and its surrounding area.

See nature at its best in the shorebird migration at Bowerman Basin. Glimpse Hoquiam's past in the historical museum, murals, and buildings. Discover hometown hospitality in distinctive, hospitable stores. Savor dining selections from home style to gourmet. Experience the finest in outdoor life with boating, fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, horseback riding, kayaking, bird watching, whale watching, clamming, and beach combing all within minutes of Hoquiam.

Also in Hoquiam and neighboring Aberdeen, be sure not to miss the 7th Street Theater, a lavish vaudeville-era 1,100 seat theater which hosts a variety of entertainment throughout the year. The Arnold Polson Museum - 26 room mansion filled with antiques and area history. Hoquiam Timberland Library - a 1911 Carnegie Building. Viewing Tower - overlooking the Port and Harbor at 28th Street. Farmers Market and Riverside Walkway - one of only two Washington Farmers Markets open year round. Olympic Stadium - circa 1935 wooden stadium. Aberdeen Museum of History - showcases early logging industry and the founding of Aberdeen. Lady Washington/Aberdeen Landing - home to the Lady Washington, a replica of an 18th-century square rigger.

Fourteen nautical miles away are fifty miles of uncrowded Pacific Ocean Beaches. Forest Service recreation facilities are within twenty miles and Olympic National Park, Lake Quilnault, and Quinault Rain Forest are less than an hour north.

After each day of exploring, return to Hoquiam's Castle for a peaceful nights rest. In the morning be awakened by the aroma of brewing coffee, and be energized for another day of exploring with a full breakfast."
